I was just looking around for the MASM 6 manuals, as I prefer to read the books rather than look at a screen. And a"nice" to have kind of thing.
And I came across THIS (https://www.ebay.com.au/itm/403913379128?hash=item5e0b1d0d38:g:f6IAAOSwo1tjNjej&amdata=enc%3AAQAHAAAA8ISE%2Fhc4ZzUYW3PHyLZi1tdnNIuwOj64A9iANip2Bf3WDEy5GHXcUgaH8U4s3qhEbR5891lDuxSO%2BDgLRknJ1zSnkBzzxWdksjg5DxCwGid0kj95Tg6a4j5pptiftPyDmvT4bYKPAg0JF5NcdgQVdmObCcpezFjs6eagbDjZgKpoAhCw0sg1FdKrcDx85VeVryOtFrKa1TiEK2UG6w6WJiLuyNUbL6JHionYh18oD%2BdMmhOz%2Bx73P72q%2FFrsSMmHoJEFEDg3Kjya9GT1jfVyY1Z3bYZxazi63hF5yfIyWroGKcE9co4DgD0lnGDWtnwqMg%3D%3D%7Ctkp%3ABFBMroPggMJh).
Holy crap Batman, $650 AUD, was it that expensive when it was released?
Where do people get these numbers from?
It's no big deal to me, I can find the books from other sites, it was just for the convenience of them all in one place.

Don't waste your money, it may be a collectors item but almost no use to a programmer as it is ancient MS-DOS software. I own commercial version of MASM 6.0 and 6.11 and they are of no use. You can get the macro data and notation easily on the internet.

Yea, I wasn't going to buy it...well if it was $150 I probably would have.
But yea, I already have high quality scans of the manuals, then there is the option of buying the manuals from old book shops. It was just the convenience.
I have never been able to find a hand held pdf reader that I like.
But also the software is everywhere.
EDIT:
Well MD-DOS software is useful to me at the moment. But being on a Win 3.11 Laptop or just in DOS is quite relaxing. With the phone put in dumb mode, as well. I need to buy another old phone, that just rings and sends texts.
My sone wrecked the last one.

If you are a fan of paper, buy yourself a double sided printer and a LOT of A4 paper. I am at the other end, confortable stool, high table and a 32 inch monitor.
If you are really into MS-DOS MASM, use MASM version 6.0, it does not need the extended memory driver and it used to be fast. The only real use for old MASM versions is parts of its documentation for macros and notation and again, you can get that online and just print it.

Wow, print stuff out. I haven't done that for years. I am far too lazy for that.
I used to work for a University and the print shop would copy manuals for me..for err...academic research.
I normally look for bargains, for example, I picked up "MASM 5.1 Programmers Guide" for $5 USD + $7 USD postage.
Some look like bargains, $8 USD but have a postage of $45 USD.
There was one book I paid $25 USD +$7 Postage for, Advanced MSDOS Programming by Ray Duncan. I generally stick to specific authors, like Ray Duncan and Andrew Schulman.
Also, I don't usually go over about $20 USD inc postage for a book.
There are a couple of books I am kind of interested in, but don't either have the need or they are too expensive.
Dos and Windows Protected Mode: Programming with DOS Extenders in C (https://www.abebooks.com/servlet/BookDetailsPL?bi=31262180389&cm_sp=det-_-bsk-_-bdp) ~$42 USD
MS-DOS Encyclopedia (https://www.abebooks.com/servlet/BookDetailsPL?bi=31380408313&cm_sp=det-_-bsk-_-bdp) Ray Duncan~$42 USD
I know it is a bit strange for some, but it relaxing to dig deeper into this old stuff. I never had the chance back in the 90's, it was always, go, go, go, quickly fix it.
Same with Novell Servers, just fix it. I would have liked to dig into ABEND's a lot more.
I suppose it could have worse, I could have been a board monkey for Dell.

It's of use if you can get money when you are broke
Masm 6.0 you can edit and compile directly in dos mode/dos emulator
1500 A4 papers and use them also for sketch art,4color pen +lots of colored pens, first sketch with 0.5 mm pen
But it's lot cheaper to use printer in library that is also capable of bigger A3 than keep your own
Shintaro there is lot of Algos that work with only 16bit or less that I like to investigate, more of a challenge with MHz clock frequency instead of ghz and lot less memory than 64GB mem
