You wanna go hungry in the Netherlands ?
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=gYykBlhTfWg

Nobody goes hungry in the Netherlands. They are a hi tech industrialised country that is, for reasons I will never understand, proud to be the World's second biggest food exporter. Food, especially pigs. Absolutely ridiculous.
-
> Nobody goes hungry in the Netherlands.
Yet, the farmers will resist the WEF.
-
I will tell you a secret: Klaus Schwab and George Soros are not really interested in Dutch pig factories.
P.S.: I forgot to mention, they also export manure to Germany.
-
Someone should explain this to Rutte.
PS : If the nitrogen level in cow dung is so high, export it rather than destroy the lives of Dutch farmers. Better to make a buck$ out of it than destroy their food production capacity.
-
Hmm, George Galloway. Haven't heard from or about him for years. I was (and am) a fan of his, especially for his steely opposition to the Iraq war and his support of Palestinians.
This here conflict, I don't know that much about. He seems to be taking the labor/human-rights side of the issue, as opposed to what he calls the "green nostrum". However, I don't know enough about what the Dutch gov't. is doing to really have an opinion here. Perhaps someone can post something about what's going on in the Netherlands to inform those like me who are somewhat mystified here. (Something credible, please, not just Qanon vapor about Klaus Schwab, one-world gov't., etc.)

> not just Qanon vapor about Klaus Schwab, one-world gov't., etc.
Many may may not share your view on Klaus Schwab, the old SATAN of the WEF.
The guy on the ball in this area is Marinus, he lives in the Netherlands and well understands what is going on.

He is a very credible source - for assembler code

Yes that is true.
It only remains for me to add: There are also very suspicious sources here spreading Deep State fake news. This doesn't mean Marinus.

jj,
> Do not feed the German troll
I would never have said that about you but if you really insist.

Right. But we know: If the cap fits, one should wear it. This is a good example of that.

Once upon a time, this was a respected coding forum. Now it serves only to spread conspiration theories. Not my fault, and not yours, Hutch: we both post code from time to time.

I think the correct term is conspiracy theories. But hey, what do I know?
But what do you imagine? You claim that only you and Steve publish code here from time to time. Do you have a skewed perception or do you really believe that you are the navel of the world?
Or is your impudence related to your lack of education? Questions about questions.
-
jj,
Code production is like rust, it never sleeps, its just that there is no commentary on the progress.
> Now it serves only to spread conspiration theories.
Yes I know that is terrible, conspiring against Dutch farmers, grinding the face of the poor, dragging developing countries into becoming bankrupt and disregarding the poverty stricken. Some of these people even expect to be treated like the Goebels elite (whoops, I mean global elites) where they get fed, kept warm and are able to pursue health, wealth and happiness.

I refuse to think that you actually believe the crap you are posting. Steve Hutchesson is too intelligent to believe that "climate change policies ... have led to a shortage of fossil fuels" (every economist know it's the other way round).
It’s the global energy crisis—a man-made crisis created by climate change policies.
These policies have led to a shortage of fossil fuels—oil, coal, and natural gas, the fuels that provide over 80% of the world’s energy.
dragging developing countries into becoming bankrupt
Saudi oil giant Aramco has announced a record profit of $161.1bn (£134bn) for 2022, helped by soaring energy prices and bigger volumes. (https://www.bbc.com/news/world-middle-east-64931074)
It represents a 46.5% rise for the state-owned company, compared with last year.

Have a look at Bangladesh, Pakistan or Sri Lanka for different results. There are others.

This is Alice In Wonderland, look at the problems in Europe over no fossil fuel alternatives after they stopped paying for Russian gas. If they were mining coal and funcing exploration of gas fields, they would not be losing their talent and companies to the US.
Then the environmental donkeys (he haw he haw) did not want clean nuclear either and taxed and regulated it out of existence. Can you imagine the sheer fun of living in the freezing north of Europe in the winter with no heating or cooking ? Perhaps they can start polluting their environment by burning the furniture.
I have a different view on the transition from fossil fuels to renewable alternatives, instead of leaving people in the cold, produce viable alternatives that can produce 24/7, back it up with solar, wind, nuclear, tides and anything else and gradually ease off fossil fuels. You will need some over a much longer period for special purpose things, military, some remote transport etc ... but the effective reduction can be very large.

Some people were blatantly saying global warming about 5 years ago.
Is it climate change now?
Hmm, conspiracy theory.

No, not conspiracy theory: where the hell do you get that?
Global warming is proceeding merrily along, regardless of whether or not you believe in it.
"Climate change" is just a different way of putting it. And that change is definitely going in the direction of warmer, not cooler. "AGW" is another term (anthropogenic global warming). Scientists talk about this era as the "Anthropocene".

"Climate change" is just a different way of putting it.
Oh, a different way. Now I fully agree with you.

OK, Mr. Smarty Pants; if climate change/global warming isn't actually happening, then how do you explain the enormous amount of data showing that it is (most of which you can easily access right from where you're sitting)?
Is it "fake news"? They're just making it up? If you really believe that, then you can so easily be just written off and ignored as another Qanon/Jewish space lasers/chemtrails idiot. If so, that'll save us all a lot of trouble here.
Or is it some kind of misinterpretation of the data? If you believe this, then pray tell us how this has come to be.
-
The data on which they are based are from a satellite recently put into orbit.
I can't say it's true.
I prefer to believe in sensors placed on the planet, over hundreds of years analyzed from this perspective.
The planet went through two ice ages, that's a fact, recorded in ignored books.
A simple question: What is the "same" primary source you are using?

JJ,
The bleeding arse (oops, I mean heart) brigade raved about a summer day some years ago in Sydney at 45c being the result of global warming. Little did these moron know that the record was set in 1939 at 45c. The inland of OZ tends to get hot anyway, a combination of other local weather conditions combined to blow it over Sydney. PHARK it was hot, walk slowly in the shade if you really had to.
