Title: Speed fan and xls log files
Post by: Magnum on February 01, 2013, 12:39:49 PM
I like Speedfan and had it make some log files to see the effect that a fan under a laptop has and other things too.

It uses .csv files, but when opened in excel or a freeware csv program, the data is formatted terrible and includes some strange characters.

I looked at some other freeware temp loggers, but they were limited.

I am looking for suggestions.

I attached a log file.

Thanks.

change the file extension to .TXT   :P
my understanding is that, in a CSV file, fields or columns are seperated by commas (Comma Seperated Values)
rows are terminated the an EOL - usually a carriage return/line feed

That was easy enough.
