While not easy to maintain and configure, UNIX \ Linux are solid operating systems for industrial applications.

That's certainly true. Furthermore, since the source code is open, there are no opportunities for NSA backdoors.

Never thought about backdoor issues about linux with their browsers.

A lot of varieties use Linux and opera.
