What happened to Oleh Yuschuk aka Olly? The last version posted is more than a year old (here (http://www.ollydbg.de/version2.html)). And I have not yet found an option to disable the automatic analysis of all dlls used in an executable, a very slow process... so for the time being I went back to an older version. Does anybody have news from Olly?
I dont know what happened to Oleh but i also use old version of Olly. Because it is more stable =)

Most people use the old version anyways ...I think 2 was a Beta ....So many Plugins and scripts for Olly 1.10 ...I never would use version 2

Version 2 has become pretty stable, too. The only shortcoming of the brand new version is that it still does not recognise LOCAL arguments by their symbolic names, as Olly 1 does :(

I have translate a ollydbg 2 plugin from c++ to masm32 with the complete header
And have coded a plugin with many new function and bugfixes
but my plugin works with addresses and works not for the new version and i must change all address
Now think i wait for this final version

Now I used IDA pro instead of Olly. But I cannot publish my finding since it is not for comercial purpose.
Farabi: Care to teach away a few tricks from Ida Pro? Maybe not tricks, but some usage features that is important and good to know of? I've been dependent on Olly for too long. I have minimal experience using Ida Pro, but I want to switch to it. :idea:

I know nothing about the trick using IDA pro too, I used it only to find the dependencies and read syslinux binary or debugging a few GPL dll to see how much the parameter pushed on the stack, that is all.
Olly is good, but IDA Pro is seems had comprehensive GUI for me. It make things look easier.
