Title: Fancy a night flight around Cape Town

My boy has about 50 hrs or so until he get his commercial license - He took me on a night flip
A lot of engine noise.. so turn your sound down..  :t

I’ve taken that ride when I was younger. Loved flying in a small aircraft, don’t care much for commercial flying though.

Looks great Van and the night landing looked OK as well. Interesting looking place, I would like to do a flight over Capetown in the daylight. Surprising that you are allowed to fly over a city, certainly is not allowed in OZ over cities like Sydney and Melbourne.

That's weird !!.. I suppose there's more danger here from lunatic taxi's on the road, than aircraft falling out the sky or crashing into buildings.
Probably at the moment, we've less to fear from suicidal people than you guys and our buildings are not that high anyway.

they fly over cities all the time, here
it has been years since i went to ground school, but i think there is a 500 ft min altitude or something

what surprises me is the lack of regulation about what they can drop
whenever an airliner flies overhead, i try to find cover
it seems they can empty their septic tank whenever they like - lol
