Title: My old 24 port unmanaged switch gave up the ghost

Many years ago a neighbor down the road gave me a 24 port unmanaged switch that had been eWaste. I plugged it in and it worked OK so I just kept using it. It was working fine late last night, when I turned my normal computer on this morning, no internet. Tracked it down quickly enough, the old switch had clapped out at last.

A few years ago I bought an identical spare off eBay so I plugged it in and all is well.  :biggrin:

Hi Timo,

It allows me to be a slob.  :tongue:  Its near where I build computers so I have a number of cables plugged into it so whan I am working on a computer, I always can connect it to the network and the internet.
