As already mentioned in Gunther's thread, I had not the faintest idea that some Croatian Franciscan friars were war criminals in WW II. Obviously, I did not mean these disgusting criminals.
Now
some is the next trivialization. These are not irrelevant individual cases; it was a widespread phenomenon. This is all well researched and Karlheinz Deschner was one of the first to document it in the early 1960s. In addition, in the late
1940s, it was precisely the Italian monasteries that were full of Nazi criminals and from there they were sent on the ratlines. The main agents in this
Operation Sunrise were again Franciscan monks. There is nothing to discuss about these points and
certainly nothing to trivialize.
It's all easy to read up on. You have to know how to read. That's the main problem.
