Peaceful coexistence. For the moment anyway.
I was sitting on my bed playing with Nugget and Gypsy came along and jumped up there with us (a first). After giving both of them some attention I put Nugget onto the bed and grabbed my iPad to take some pix. Peace at last. Or maybe they just didn't want to mess up the photo-op...

The puppy Nugget is growing every day and thriving. She is doing well, and getting along with Gypsy fairly well for the most part. She is more interested in Gypsy than the other way around though. I think a territorial/boundary issue between them, and Gypsy is the eldest and claims the house as her domain. They do play outside together quite nicely and go on walks together without issue. But once in the house, Gypsy gets irritated by Nuggets constant need to play. But all in all, they seem to be okay with each other. At least they are not aggressive to the point of hurting each other, mostly play fighting. Pictures coming soon, when I can get Nugget to remain calm (usually when she first wakes up after sleeping). She just has so much energy, makes me tired just watching her play.   Oh and she is starting to lose her baby teeth.   That means she will be growing out of the teething phase where she wants to chew on everything.

Just read the thread (how could I not when it's called Puppy!) Guess Nugget still refuses to pose for those pictures  :bgrin: Would love to see how much it grew. Needless to say, they are both adorable!

Hi, polarcroissant!

Guess Nugget still refuses to pose for those pictures  :bgrin:

It's not so much that she won't pose as that she just has so much energy and won't sit still unless she's eating of course or sleeping. Also being a two dog house, Nugget with her high energy is becoming a hand full. Never a dull moment around here. Still working on housebreaking her. She is doing okay in that regard, but accidents sometimes still happen. I'll try to post some pix by the new year as well as post new video by then on youtube. (Link in my signature)

And yes, she is steadily growing!   And still I think Gypsy isn't entirely thrilled in having a rambunctious little puppy in the house. Gypsy would rather lay around and relax, which is rather difficult with the puppy around. But we are working on that as well. We try to keep them separated sometimes, but either one or both would bark and carry on until they could 'play' together. It's a vicious cycle. (Not that either pooch is vicious btw, but they do play rough)

Thank you.

the only time she is completely still is when she is sleeping...
In contrast, when we first got her she would fit in the kennel depthwise where she now takes up most of the lentgh of it. We keep her in the kennel when she sleeps for her protection as well as protecting the furniture, Gypsy our other dog, the trash bin, etc. Otherwise she would wake up and reek havoc if left unattended while we sleep.
During the day we leave her kennel open so she can come and go as she pleases (as long as she's behaving).

Nugget went to the Vet today. She now weighs 38 pounds. The Vet now estimates her age to be ~6 months, due to her adult teeth coming in already. Later today, I will post a couple of new pictures ...
