Interesting video. More than fear, I believe that modern totalitarianisms are based on voluntary dependence. Little by little people are made dependent on the state. Subsidies are happily offered to which individuals get hooked and taxes and prices are raised, so that there comes a time when you can no longer live without the state.
If the consequence of the ancient totalitarianisms was the submission of the people. With AI expected to surpass human intelligence by 2050 and many basic operations becoming robotized, fewer and fewer people will be needed, at least for this type of work. So what will be the consequence of modern totalitarianisms?
