My LITEON DVD Player just became Light ON.
« on: June 04, 2012, 10:30:37 PM »
Was writing a DVD for a friend and the write failed at the end. Put in another blank DVD and the player will neither read or write anything. Networked the ISO to an old box and did it there. Looks like I need a new one and I can't pinch it from an older box, its the only SATA DVD player I own.  :icon13:

liteon is probably not the best brand name - lol
and - a lot of them are liteon's rebranded to something else, too

as for SATA - i agree - i prefer to use my SATA ports for hard drives
but - SATA was the only interface i could find for a blu-ray writer   :(
