50th Birthday - Tardis - Daleks - Doctor Who - JFK
« on: September 11, 2013, 06:28:30 PM »
 Hi Dalek Fans:

Exterminate! Exterminate! for those of not Born before 1963!
A little explaination is in order. The Sci-FIi show started in 1963.
So it should be 50 years old. But some years it did Not run, So it is
fifty years old but they do not have 50 years of Doctor Who shows?
Exterminate is what the robots called Daleks said, and I won't bore you
with that story yet? Terrry Nation wrote the Daleks storys, and thankfully
we can thank the stair cases that prevent the Daleks from Taking Over!

So if you are in England, watch the Specials on the BBC!

 http://www.bbc.co.uk/news/entertainment-arts-24038234

The first Producer for Doctor Who was, Verity Lambert.

A Wiki entry for Verity Lambert. http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Verity_Lambert

A new Doctor is in the work again!

Bummer we got the title wrong Sorry but my Tardis broke down and has to have to
have a Billion mile check up again?
 But 2013 -  1963 should be 50 years old!
 Sorry about That!

1963 was the Year JFK died in Dallas, Texas, USA.
The day before the first episode was broadcast
somebody took a bullet in Dallas in November
1963, say the 22nd of November.
John F Kennedy, a president from Mass. , USA.
I can't spell Mass.  Play the song Your so Vain!
Yes it's old LP. Remember LPs and cassette tapes
and transistor radios? Yes you could play music
before the MP3s and Apple ipods!

Highly Defective TV i e You can not get the TV Station once it goes to
High Defintion. Was Not tested on Analog TV the stupid morons at
CRTC in Ottawa, Ontario, under worked Useless Idiots!
You need Cable to get Buffalo,

  • Forgive your enemies, but never forget their names
Get your facts first, and then you can distort them.

Hi Gunther

I love vinyl records, especially the crackles and pops, it reminds me of my youth.
I do record them to MP3 so I can also listen in the car and even though I have software to remove most of the "imperfections",
I leave them in as it adds to the character.

Luckily for me there is a store not too far away that still sells vinyl records, most are second hand but there are new ones too.
There definitely seems to be a revival in records.

P.S.

Before I get taken to task for stating that I record music, some countries allow one to make a copy provided that it's from the original
which the person owns and that the copy is for one's private use and not for resale.
If the country you live in does not allow it, consider immigration.  :P

 Hi Paulo:

I heard it happened by accident the record  company gave
the wrong  catalog mumber for the MP3/CD and gave out the
LP catalog  number. Result LP(Vinyl) sales went way up?

Hi herge

I didn't see that one.
Which episode is it? I would like to see it.

Although I enjoy Dr Who and Star Wars, my favourite is still Battlestar Gallactica.
(The Cylon Raider craft were really cool).
