Not read-only. You can reply the messages you received.

I see. I haven't tested it - can you send a new mail independently of an existing incoming one? That would open a door for misuse, i.e. spamming or anonymous bomb threats etc...

Hi Jochen,

No, you can't do that. You are dependent on the incoming message.

Hi Erol,

could it be abused?

This is not clear... why would you be 'dependent' on the incoming message ?

His info states that he blocks in-coming spam, but makes no mention of outgoing spam, unless he restricts outgoing email to single destinations, instead of groups (spam)
Websites can just delay the registration process a few days to overcome this  ;)

I have five aliases connected to my main mailbox. One of these aliases I change all the time, as it's used for situations which he has described.

A nice idea though.

Hi Gunther and K_F,

Yes, the outgoing email can be abused but this not the aim.

Yes, the outgoing email can be abused but this not the aim.

The abuse potential is very low, because you can either
- reply to the account who sent a mail to you
- or forward the message once, with one address only.

Now if you changed the spelling to MALE you may have found a godsend for the ladies as statistics tell us that most guys barely last 2 minutes.  :dazzled:
