Personal upload for public download web/ftp site

Does anyone have any good leads for the cheapest site where i can upload at least 100MB of stuff, for anyone to download without adverts and that cr..ap
IOW.. a direct ftp/torrent/download link

one way is to get a hotmail account or similar
hotmail has a "skydrive" where you can place and share files

another way to go is to have a free website
i have one at x10hosting.com
