After about 9 years, my hard drive failed.

I have tried to go with just Linux, but there are some things that I miss from Windows.

I have my XP install disk and the XP SP 3.

What is the best way to install it ?

Thanks,

Andy,

Get yourself a modern hard disk (or two) and run the standard install of XP SP3. Partition the boot partition to say 250 gig and divide the rest up to useful sizes. 2 disk or more is better as it gives you some redundancy if one fails. Hard disks are cheap these days, get a WD or Seqagate disk (Samsung seem to be OK as well) and start from scratch.
