As you can see I get on the Masm32 forum & others through my ISP.
HOWEVER, I have two sites that just refuse to connect.
They are www.bridgebase.com and www.statcounter.com.
I haven't the foggiest idea why I have this problem.
They both couldn't be down at the same time - Right???
Thanks for any suggestions.

anunitu

I tried both, and was able to connect..from here in NJ on Comcast cable.

Where are you trying to connect from? Work or home?

shankle

Hi Anunutu,
Connecting at home. Been over 48 hours by now that I can't connect.
I am on fiber optics - used to be called Greenlight.
I ran all my bad boy fixer programs to see if they could find anything
mischievous but nothing has shown.
Have a nice Xmas.

Thinking perhaps another DDos thing, but who knows..

FORTRANS

Hi,

One time that I had problems connecting to a specific site, I
found out that my ISP had a bad DNS setup.  Try using a
different DNS server.

HTH,

Steve

TWell

tracert is good tool to check connection.

shankle

Thanks guys,
The Ping and Tracert showed I had no connection to those
two sites. I sent an email to my ISP and probable won't hear
from them till Monday. If at all.

anunitu

It is possible your ISP put a block for some reason..like deciding a place is child unsafe, and some sites get blocked for no apparent reason at all.

Try using Google's DNS servers, 8.8.8.8 and 8.8.4.4

shankle

I tried Googles settings and still can't access
www.bridgebase.com or www.statcounter.com.
Perhaps I have done something wrong.
Windows 7 pro 64-bit and a netgear router.

I am thinking you somehow pissed off the cyber gods...

shankle

Nope - thank heaven.
It's the bloody ISP. Others near me are having the same
problem. They said that they know about the problem and
are working on it. That like it's in the mail..........
