Could I impose on a few folks to have a look at this 1 minute video. Its testing some new software that controls screen capture to a known size, in this case 1280 x 720. I have dropped the frame rate and run reasonably high compression to get the size down and what I need to know is if it looks OK and is clear enough to read on a low speed internet connection.

Quality looks fine, even the small fonts are readable. When I first watched in on youtube, it showed in kind of a high speed mode, just 3, 4 seconds and it had finished. Afterwards, normal behaviour. Could be that I pressed a wrong button, though.

Works fine here, 2mb of internet connection, full screen on cheap video card.
I'd rather be this ambulant metamorphosis than to have that old opinion about everything

Crystal clear video at a smooth rate. ( 200 Mbps download speed )
Does this new screen capture app include audio ? What's the name of this app ?

The software is part of the Movavi suite and I found a trick to get it at the lowest price. I downloaded the demo and ran it. When I removed it a page popped up asking why I removed it with a list of options. One option was about it being too expensive so I clicked on that and it offered the suite for about $35 AUD which was a big discount so I bought it. So far all of their stuff has worked well and I have done both 1080 and 720 with no problems.

With the screen capture, depending on what you want to capture, if its stuff like using applications, you can drop the frame rate down to about 15 frames/sec and it looks OK. At the other end, if you want to get a copy of a streamed video you record it at 30 frames or higher at full screen and you end up with a large MP4 that looks and runs at high quality.

I use Fraps ( http://www.fraps.com/) for capture and various free video converters over time.
The current one I'm using is http://www.videotovideo.org/

There is on-the-fly GPU capture/compression software drivers for Nvidia (ShadowPlay) but they messed this up by insisting that you must login to their website to use it - Wot a bunch of idiots :icon13:
I'm not sure about AMD graphics chips, but I'm looking at these maybe for my next GCard, as Nvidia are p...ing me off.  :icon_mrgreen:

Quite clear for me too. Smooth.

BTW, How do you embed videos straight to the forum? Soly with the hyperlink thing?

Sad to say the forum software only allows admin to post HTML which is what you need to run the video embed code. It is not adjustable and I don't think there is a way around it.

It looks ok on my low speed DSL.
