M$ strikes again.
« on: October 04, 2017, 08:26:49 PM »
One of the defects in the win10 version of the rich edit control I use in QE was it had some crappy over-ride when you selected the fully left aligned first word on the line of text by double clicking on it. It usually also selected previous text by at least a number of characters and the simplest way to get around it was to space the first word at least one space from the left side. The code used in QE uses a table of acceptable characters that it uses to scan backwards until it found an unacceptable character then it reversed and scanned forwards to find the last acceptable character then hilight the range.

Microsoft just fixed the defect at least a year and a half after it showed up and it gets dumped into my Win10 through an autoupdate.
