Windows 10 Home or Pro?
« on: May 04, 2018, 07:42:49 AM »
What are the differences between the two versions from anyone who has had both. I'm looking to buy windows 10 in the near future. Is home worth saving a few dollars?  Or is Pro that much better? 32 bit, btw.
Regards, zedd.

Pro is really only needed if you want your computer to hook up to a domain.

I use home all the way.

If you're thinking of ever publishing your apps on MS Store, then go for the Pro version, because Desktop App Converter, which converts your app so, that you can publish it, only works on Pro...

If you're thinking of ever publishing your apps on MS Store...

I have resolved the issue, and switched to Windows 7.  Windows 10 is not for me. Anything that calls itself an 'App' will not find a home on my computer. I run "Programs" or "Applications". I do use Windows 10, but only if I have to.

Windows 10 is loaded with all kinds of crap just like todays smartphones. Most of which is totally useless. No offense to you if you actually like Windows 10, just stating my personal preference for more user friendly and less intrusive Operating System. And Cortana?? wtf???  I totally silenced her intrusiveness in my install of Windows 10. But that's another story for another thread.

Bottom line is, I am so sorry that I had relatively little choice when I bought this computer with Windows 10 preinstalled. I would have much preferred windows 7, Vista, XP     or even windows 20000 over the overbloated Windows 10.  That's all I have to say about that.   8)
