Masm32.com : Invalid response @ Vivaldi browser
« on: July 03, 2018, 01:02:22 PM »
After a half hour of trying, I give up on using Vivaldi browser.

It was described as a 'lite' browser - so I thought I'd give it a try.

I tried to adjust all of the Security settings to no avail.   :(

This is what Vivaldi browser says about Masm32.com:

Don't try SlimJet either, until they have solved they updater's problems. Have been trying for hours now to make it run again (Win7-64). What a mess... :(

P.S.: Uninstalled & reinstalled SlimJet, all settings were lost. Inter alia, I can't find the use backspace to go back option. What a pity that the forum software blocks some of the nastier swearing words :(

(Win7-64). What a mess... :(

I'm also on Windows 7 / 64. Maybe it's a Win 7 issue? I'm using the Basic edition today

When I get around to it, I'll try it on WIndows 10 ...

Okay, here I am on Vivaldi from Windows 10.

Vivaldi must be in Cahoots (spelling?) with Microshaft.   :(

The problem is the attempt by a range of companies to try and force you to pay for a certificate if you ran a web site. This site does not deal with money at all and it has no need for some shonky money grab for the pretence of improved security so I have no intention of paying some crook for some pile of crap like that. Its one of the few things that the US corporate sector and the Open Sauce bludgers have in common, trying to add additional control over the internet for their own various reasons.

I used to use PaleMoon in 2015 and it was pretty good back then, IIRC. Fast loading web pages, etc.

I am downloading the current 'portable' version as I type this.

We might have to start a browser sh**list of all the browsers that are getting stuck on stupid. All the while collecting info from the user.
