i reckon it was put together by some young hopefull at Microsoft probably as part of an apprenticeship marketing project
the usage of 'shipped systems'  across all platforms makes more realistic reading for potential developers interest in deploying their software

and although these figures are somewhat out of date [2015]i dont suppose the ratio is much altered
also
i wonder what the outcome of IBM,s recent purchase of RH linux will result in for the AIX high end market and the middling Server market
