Fascinating video, whether it will succeed or not is another question but it addressed interesting things. While I have some misgivings about some of Trump's policies, if he succeeds in draining the swamp, he will have achieved more than the last hundred years of US presidents.

sadly I disagree on the first video about the good guys winning, there's a lot that could be said, but I doubt that it would benefit anyone.

Interesting. I have a theory: there is a type of person who needs to take everything fot itself, like the character "Zec" that appears in Jack Reacker, without ideology. The bad news is that they use the low instincts of a multitude of people who are like them. It is not so easy to identify the good from the bad. The big-scale bad guy may be what the video is talking about, yes, like the Bielderbeg Club or the Deep State. The social engineering they have done is tremendous, you can see it better in perspective. In the 80s / 90s there was much more freedom than today.

As for today, in the movie Jack Reacher there's another interesting argument: the sniper kills multiple people to hide its real target.

I'd rather be this ambulant metamorphosis than to have that old opinion about everything

RE : The newest version of the police state.

There is a funny old fashioned name for corporate controlled government, its FASCISM.

1. removal of civil rights.
2. uncontestable authoritarian powers.
3. clumsy heavy handed enforcement.
4. absolute economic control for the elite.
5. austerity as economic theory.

I wonder where we can see this in action today ?  :thdn:

4. absolute economic control for the elite.
5. austerity as economic theory.

We could argue about the first three, oh well, but on point 5 you are confused: austerity has just been dropped altogether, even Germany is raising state debt by several hundred Billion Euros. And in this sense I partly agree with your point 4: new debt means more control for sharks like Bill Ackman

Quote
COVID-19 hedge
Ahead of the 2020 stock market crash, Ackman hedged Pershing Square's portfolio, risking $27 million to purchase credit protection, insuring the portfolio against steep market losses.[56] The hedge was effective, generating $2.6 billion in less than one month.

The one thing with austerity is you can turn it on and off alternating between grinding the face of the poor and p*ssing money against the wall when it suits the elite. Rights that can be turned on and off are the dangerous ones. The money "tap" has been with us for most of the 20th century and has been used to raid countries that were short of cash with WTO style control of their economies. The raping of most of south America is just one example of this approach.

When the bulk of the western world had suddenly jumped into hock by massive sums of money, there is reason to be wary, cut your personal debt to zero, don't borrow and don't be vulnerable or it will catch up with you, you get nothing for nothing. Its like the traditional "deal with the devil", sell you soul, make merry for a while then its payback time.

It seems to be contradictory with blame austerity.

The win is when you get yourself out of debt is you are not feeding parasites with the interest rate. It takes a while and you do not run a fleet of Porsch's on the Riviera but once you are in front, it works for you and you are no longer vulnerable to external financial factors. Once you are in front you spend money that you already own and live within your means.
