Maybe I can extract only the help files without doing any kind of installation.

If you do that it won't install dexplore for you...

A little advice for you, if I may... don't run stuff... save it.  Run it from your own hard disk.  Always do Custom Installations ... no matter what you're downloading... Let stuff install itself, the producers know what they're doing.

Uninstall all previous versions of the SDK ... download the iso to your hard disk (as I suggested).  Then either unpack it with an ISO extractor or burn it to dvd... run the installer and let it do it's job.  You will be glad you did.

Seriously... all you're doing by "going your own way" on this stuff is making your own life harder.

By the way, dexplorer just greeted me with this:
Microsoft Document Explorer has encountered a problem and needs to close.

Ok... under what conditions?
Which version of the SDK?
Was that in POIDE with my addin?
What were your settings?

I am a scientist and used to be a member of a Quality Improvement Team for 10 years.

It's our nature to find easier ways even if it results in frequent failures.

I got the new SDK help files and dexplore is cooking with gas.

(It's 3 times the size of the 2005 SDK help file.)

But M.S. introduced a lot of APIs since 2005.

Version 9.0.21022, standalone, no particular settings or activities other than searching for FindFirstFile :bgrin:
Actually, I had gone away for an hour, and saw the box when returning.

So does that mean you have the keyword lookup working?
