Title: Skin adhesive
Post by: Magnum on October 20, 2014, 05:05:26 PM
I have a TENS unit for pain control.

I am trying to find something that will help the electrodes stick better.

My electrodes stuck well for a few times, but they now keep falling off.

I search the website that sold the TENS unit, but they don't offer anything.

spirit gum is what they use for things like fake mustaches, etc
if that doesn't work, get serious with pros aide or something

Dave,

I looked up spirit gum.

I have no doubt that is sticks extremely well.

When I get pretty old enuf, I will use it to attach my limbs. :-)

Cyanoacrylate (Super Glue, etc) adhesives work well on tissue, and the cured adhesive can be softened with common acetone-based nail polish remover. Just don't get it on sensitive tissue (as in don't decide to go pee while you have some of it on your fingers).

a little water, salty water, or sweat will dissolve super glue
also - many types of adhesives (mucilage, etc) can irritate or even burn the skin
that's why i suggested spirit gum

I found spectra 369 electrode gel that is excellent.
