I ran an old game on my laptop testing running on battery and it quickly drained the battery down to 20%
but is it worth it when game only needs 1.5ghz P4,so save battery, lifespan or not?
or its the gpu that needs that takes most energy?
or screen brightness?
but if the outside has record 33+C it might be good to not run fullspeed?
if its a game that is of the old design to run as fast as possible, cpu will run fullspeed
Hi daydreamer,
Is it an old DOS game running under an emulator?

Hi daydreamer,
Is it an old DOS game running under an emulator?
no,its low 128mb gpu ram minimum, maybe if I lower clock it will run longer on battery and hardware last longer?
You can probably lower the clock speed but mainly to drop the processor temperature. Download "CoreTemp" so you know what is going on.
Is it networked (the game)? I have found that the network card consume most of the battery of laptops...This has been my impression (but not based in strict scientific experiments, measurements and observations...) :icon_idea: :icon_idea:
