Title: Graphene
Post by: shankle on September 13, 2013, 08:13:31 PM
This 1 molecule substance is supposed to be stronger than steel and has many applications
for the future. I read a science fiction about a 1 molecule wire that would cut through a
battleship without breaking. Would like to know where I can read more about this.

carbon, in some sort of lattice arrangement (stuff diamonds are made of)
i read somewhere that they could make a sort of tether all the way to the moon
well - they talked about tethering a satellite to get them near the moon - something like that   :P

Thanks Vortex. Quite an informative article.
Lots of good things should be coming from this.
Now, if we could get the fuel cell up to snuff and fusion, life would change drastically
for us.

The  Wikipedia page (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Graphene) is much better.
