Registration Agreement

The rules are really simple.

We ask that when you join the forum, that you introduce yourself in the 'Introduction from New Members' section, so we know who you are, what your interests are, and what brought you the MASM Forum.

        * NO spam.

        * You keep within the Forum Rules

        * We expect new members to make a posting in 'Introduction from New Members' section , not a PM to Admin'.

        * We do this so we know that new members are real human beings.

NOTE: Members who do not post within 30 days, will be deleted to protect our members from spam and spam bots

We enforce the forum rules as they are stated and we determine the intent based on our experience.
If you agree to abide by the forum rules, you are welcome to join the forum.

NOTE: To deter spammers we have a compulsory set of questions that must be answered for an initial number of posts.
It is slightly inconvenient but goes away after a limited number of posts.

If you have problems with the questions which must change regularly, OR you do Not get an 'Activation' email, send an email to:

Note also, that the forum software places a cookie on your device, a text file containing bits of information (such as your username and password), in your browser's cache.
This is ONLY used to keep you logged in/out.
The software does not collect or send any other form of information from your computer.

Note Also that if your Return email is a GMail account, your Verification email, may be in your Spam Folder,  as it may also be with Other Mail Clients.

Privacy Policy

This policy explains in detail how "The MASM Forum" along with its affiliated companies (hereinafter "we", "us", "our", "The MASM Forum", "https://masm32.com") and SMF (hereinafter "they", "them", "their", "SMF software", "Simple Machines Forum - Free & open source community software", "SMF Limited", "SMF Teams") use any information collected during any session of usage by you (hereinafter "your information").

Your information is collected via two ways. Firstly, by browsing "The MASM Forum" will cause the SMF software to create a number of cookies, which are small text files that are downloaded on to your computer's web browser temporary files. The first two cookies just contain a user identifier (hereinafter "user-id") and an anonymous session identifier (hereinafter "session-id"), automatically assigned to you by the SMF software. A third cookie will be created once you have browsed topics within "The MASM Forum" and is used to store which topics have been read, thereby improving your user experience.

We may also create cookies external to the SMF software whilst browsing "The MASM Forum", though these are outside the scope of this document which is intended to only cover the pages created by the SMF software. The second way in which we collect your information is by what you submit to us. This can be, and is not limited to: posting as an anonymous user (hereinafter "anonymous posts"), registering on "The MASM Forum" (hereinafter "your account") and posts submitted by you after registration and whilst logged in (hereinafter "your posts").

Your account will at a bare minimum contain a uniquely identifiable name (hereinafter "your user name"), a personal password used for logging into your account (hereinafter "your password") and a personal, valid email address (hereinafter "your email"). Your information for your account at "The MASM Forum" is protected by data-protection laws applicable in the country that hosts us. Any information beyond your user name, your password, and your email address required by "The MASM Forum" during the registration process is either mandatory or optional, at the discretion of "The MASM Forum". Your Email address and IP address are Not visible to the public or other members and you have the option of what other information in your account is publicly displayed. Furthermore, within your account, you have the option to opt-in or opt-out of automatically generated emails from the SMF software.

Your password is ciphered (a one-way hash) so that it is secure. However, it is recommended that you do not reuse the same password across a number of different websites. Your password is the means of accessing your account at "The MASM Forum", so please guard it carefully and under no circumstance will anyone affiliated with "The MASM Forum", SMF or another 3rd party, legitimately ask you for your password. Should you forget your password for your account, you can use the "I forgot my password" feature provided by the SMF software. This process will ask you to submit your user name and your email, then the SMF software will generate a new password to reclaim your account.
