Title: Windows updates
Post by: shankle on May 19, 2015, 06:27:02 AM
There is a program called SFC(System File Checker) that I have just
found out about. My puter showed no errors when I ran it. But Wiffies
puter is still not fixed. I was advised to uninstall "KB3022345" which I
have done and she still has errors.
I am now leery of installing any updates from Microsoft and probably
should just live with what I have and trust things like ESET SS, Malwarebtes,
Sweepi, disconecting the internet when not using it and shutting off the puter
when it's not being used etc, to keep my puter clean. Guess I am paranoid.

- be leery but do it anyway is my approach

disconecting the internet when not using it and shutting off the puter when it's not being used etc,

- My main computer is not even on the internet; no cables (in the old days) or wireless (new days) installed. Transfer to/from with floppies (old days) or flash drives. Second / third computers on the internet. Recommend that strategy, these days computers are cheap enough

Guess I am paranoid.

- No. Paranoid (by definition) means worried without a good reason
