an easy way to share files across the internet
especially large files that your e-mail won't allow

another thing you might do...
set up a folder on your computer at home with "public" files
now, you can access files in that folder when you are wi-fi'ing at the coffee shop   :P

Hi shankle,

SSH , a more secure protocol than telnet allows remote administration of computers.
