This is good work. Good to spread the word, Vortex!

I did this quite dome time back using RadASM 2.x + POASM (and then later JWASM of that time) (2.something).
Worked out great for some time, but then 'real' work got in the way! Haha! :bgrin:

I was trying to create a truly genuine and proper *free* way of creating a  "dev" environment.
(without actually installing Windows)

Regards,
Shantanu

Hi shantanu_gadgil,

Thanks for your kind words. What's your Linux distribution installed on your computer?

For the experiments above, I'd used CentOS 6.
That's why it felt heart warming to see someone else also using the same!

Bonus tip  ;)  I have realized that CentOS 6.x 'just works'. (Stability due to it being a Red Hat clone, of course    )
Tried this distro, tried that distro, but now a CentOS fan (since 'bout 3 years)
(I know, I know ... v 5 was quite painful to use due to the older kernel, but hey what can you do : shoulder shrug :
Now, with v6, its 'all good' :) :) )

Cheers,
Shantanu

Hi shantanu,

Yes, stability due to the Red Hat code. I hope Red Hat or any clone will not adopt the unity interface.

Hi shantanu_gadgil,

Thanks for your kind words. What's your Linux distribution installed on your computer?

In a Partition I have installed Xubuntu 12.04 LTS. I use it only
in rare occasion though. It surfs the web or run some programs
faster than win 7/64 that I have in a separate disk.
But I don't use C so far, too little knowledge.
