Title: Interested in learning assembly
Post by: MarcS. on August 26, 2012, 01:04:23 PM
I am an old-timer when it comes to computers. Back in the days of punch cards and floppy drives. Was mainly self-taught (poorly - using goto statements) but am now back in college taking CIS with a focus on C#, structured programming etc. Just Finished a class in System Analysis and Design in fact.

Assembly has always interested me. I have a basic understanding of jumps, nop, push, and a few other things as I used to disassemble games (mostly Everquest) to create cheats, and find the offsets and opcodes (nothing illegal, but yeah frowned upon a bit by gamers). I have since moved on but it was a great way to learn things for me. Look forward to exploring the forums, learning from the tutorials and examples. Nice site, and great program.

Thanks,

Marc
