Hey guys, just joined this forum.
I tried to compile the following code in masm:

.386
.model flat,stdcall
option casemap:none

WinMain proto :DWORD,:DWORD,:DWORD,:DWORD

include \masm32\include\windows.inc
include \masm32\include\user32.inc
include \masm32\include\kernel32.inc
includelib \masm32\lib\user32.lib
includelib \masm32\lib\kernel32.lib

.DATA
    ClassName db "SimpleWinClass",0
    AppName  db "Our First Window",0

.DATA?
    hInstance HINSTANCE ?
    CommandLine LPSTR ?

.CODE
start:
    invoke GetModuleHandle, NULL
    mov    hInstance,eax
    invoke GetCommandLine
    mov    CommandLine,eax
    invoke WinMain, hInstance,NULL,CommandLine, SW_SHOWDEFAULT
    invoke ExitProcess,eax
end start

But i get an error when i try to create the exe(it assembles just fine) "unresolved external symbol _WinMain@16
Thanks :p
oh, and whats up with the quiz i have to take to post anything? xD

hutch--

Where is your WinMain ?

RE: Quiz, its there to slow up spammers, it goes away after a number of postings. We get rid of spammers before they reach that post count.

Oh, it's probably later in Iczelions tutorial xD wanted to see if it works.

        ret
    .ENDIF
    xor eax,eax

end start

This is the final code, would this work without the error?

dedndave

it may be helpful to also PROTOtype WndProc

WinMain proto :HINSTANCE,:HINSTANCE,:LPSTR,:DWORD
WndProc proto :HWND,:UINT,:WPARAM,:LPARAM
