Title: Can I use GPU Independently?
Post by: Farabi on December 29, 2012, 11:47:41 AM
Im curious to write a 3D engine from scracth. Which mean, I only need the GPU to calculate the math operation but I handle the ploting pixels my self. I found that OpenGL is cumbersome for some task like, writing to the frame buffer to implement my own anti aliasing functions and many things.

Will it posible to write the point one by one using the GPU? or I should use the shaders system (Which I will need to wait I dont know until when I can buy another new system)

It took 20 second to render the picture. Very amazing tech demo.
