Title: Power options are kaputt
Post by: Magnum on January 10, 2013, 04:17:36 AM
I can't find out why the power options aren't working.

So far I have

1. Applied a windows patch
2. I have the newest video drivers
3. Cursed some

I also read that a lot of people experienced the same thing when they went to SP3.

it may be that the laptop OEM's provides power-option controls that differ from windows
i have XP SP3 and no problems on my desktop

no, it's English with a German adjective. That's because Andy lived and worked for few years in Germany and his German is not so bad.

For the technical world like engineering, learning German is very valuable.

Sorry ragdog, I did not give enuf information.

I have it set for my monitor to shut down after 15 minutes and my hard drive after 30 minutes.

Neither work.

I usually don't use a screensaver, but it works. ??

Could your BIOS configuration be the problem?
