Does anyone know of any secure remote packages that one can use. (32bit for my laptop (XP), and 64 bit for this PC)

I'd like to link up with this PC from elsewhere and be able to run the software installed on this PC.
I've never tried MSofts remote services stuff, so not sure how it works

I wonder if using a Proxy on this PC would also achieve a similar function ?

i think Vortex mentioned one, a while back

in the past, i have used TeamViewer
the latest version is a free trial
but, i think if you go back to version 7, it is actually free for personal use
and - the older versions are available for download...
