Hi,

We had elections yesterday.  The Republicans won far more than
they should have.  For instance, here in Florida Scott was reelected
governor.  Though the alternative really was not that much better
in that case, he was better.

Regards,

Steve N.

The Democrats had a majority in the Senate but now the Republicans do.

The Republicans now have a majority in both the House of Represenatives and the Senate.

That means they could override the president in passing laws.

Hi,

They now have a simple majority in the senate.  It needs a two-
thirds majority to override a veto.

Regards,

Steve

It should prove interesting,Now the Repubs MUST produce something. They can't just go around pounding at the ACA(Obama care) because the American public are watching and what they do,or do not do will determine who gains power in the next Presidential election.

If the law banning the feeding of the homeless is any indication, the direction of the country might not be all that positive.

At any rate we shall see what we shall see..

the republicans don't have to produce anything
they have been dragging their feet, all along - in order to prevent progress by the obama administration
all they have to do is pick their feet up and claim any successes as thier own

all US politicians suck - the republicans probably suck a little harder - lol

haven't seen any ice giants here in Arizona...

You are right, if they don't produce, they will be out. :-)

I feel that both parties are corrupted.

I wish they'd stop producing.  No matter which side does anything it makes things worse.  I'm thinking we'd be a lot better off disbanding them completely.
