Title: Fuel powered small planes a thing of the past ?
Post by: Magnum on December 19, 2014, 04:45:46 PM
My RC helicopter with it's LiPoly battery is a big disappointment.

Only a 7 minutes run time.

I remember Cox airplanes from my childhood and went to their site.

I recall their fuel powered planes that used a battery to start them.

Run times where quite a bit longer.

All they now sell is the battery powered planes.

What a bummer.

i suspect there are many places to buy hot-fuel powered planes
i still have several U-Control planes and kits from back in the day - lol
some little ones that use .049 engines
and several larger ones - with a couple .19's, a .25, and a .39 engine

also - someplace, i have an old McCoy .49 redhead that dad used when he was in college
one of the schools he went to was Embry-Riddle university in Tulsa
they had to make flying models for one of the classes
