I started using Netflix thru my Blue Ray player.

I expected my DSL speed to decrease while playing a movie, but there was no decrease in speed.

Why is that ?

Download Speed: 2995 kbps (374.4 KB/sec transfer rate)
Upload Speed: 572 kbps (71.5 KB/sec transfer rate)

that would indicate that your DSL connection is not the bottleneck
my guess - the server is
