Title: The death of Keith Emerson
Post by: hutch-- on March 12, 2016, 03:18:49 PM
I was very sorry to hear this as apparently he took his own life but I was a great fan of Emerson Lake and Palmer from the era when I listened to rock music. he was the supremo keyboard player of that era on anything from a pipe organ to a Moog synthesizer.

Ironically, ELP introduced me to classical music - through Pictures of an Exhibition (https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=U7NAGTq_IJQ).
R.I.P. 8)

I read that he was dead, but did not see he had killed himself. Perhaps it was because of some medical condition(you know un-treatable one,and meant a slow death)

Lots of our generation are going away...

Even though I'm not a big fan of ELP, well RIP Keith Emerson.
He's without no doubt one of the top keyboardist from the 70's, like Jon Lord and Rick Wakeman.
