I built this Haswell to play with the later stuff but I just have to much other stuff to do at the moment. After 18 years of having to write 486 compatible code, its fun to play with the new stuff at last. AVX looks like it will deliver some very good performance on big data and it is my observation that QWORD and legacy XMM code is simply not fast enough when you can allocate over 32 gig of memory.
