Sad to say the original Audacity has been bought by a commercial software company who have it filled with spyware (telemetry).

NB: The 'Telemetry' is OFF by Default, you Have to select to 'Opt-In' and turn it ON.
If you actually go searching, you will find what the Telemetry is doing,.. your Credit cards are Safe :rofl:
