Title: Comments on Formatting code with the "tt" tags.
Post by: KeepingRealBusy on June 10, 2012, 11:10:34 AM
Hutch,

Let me display my ignorance here.

Oh, Boy!!! I hust saw them!!! Where did all of the tags and smilies come from? When I have been posting replies to other posts, I get none of this. What do I have set up wrong? It might also have something to do without finding any "notify" button when I post a reply or a normal post. Is TT any different than #?

Dave.

Dave,

Its simple, instead of placing "code" between square brackets, place "tt" instead to get a different type of formatting. "tt" is teletype formatting.

Hutch,

I found the reason. I run FF and usually have JavaScript blocked. In that condition, you get none of the formatting option or smileys. When enabled, everything is present.

All I had to do here (I had logged on with JavaScript blocked) was enable it and the screen lit up!

Still no "notify" button to click to get email notifications. What am I missing here? I checked attachments and other options, still no notify button.

Dunno, My Chrome variant IronPortable shows a Notify button so it must be in your settings.

Hutch,

It may be that I have to set notify in my Profile and then the button appears? I'll try that.
