Title: Soccer in America

Ok,I understand that soccer is very big in europe,and I know it is growing in popularity here in America,BUT what I do not understand is why American TV is now showing soccer on channels that have nothing to do with sports. I mean what has soccer to do with the SYFY channel (science fiction channel) or some other channels that suddenly are showing soccer matches. I understand why sports channels would air it,but today they had soccer on about 10 different channels that have never been about sports.

Is it some kind of virus infecting us Americans?

(consider that this is satire please)
