Is this something I need to understand well? The book just glances over it so I assume it must not be too important. If it is important, then the book did not do well for me.

I didn't delete the post that confirms that the solution provided was adequate, so I don't understand your objection. Do you know what the deleted post contained? I felt it didn't contribute so I deleted it. However, this has completely ruined my experience here and I will now have myself removed from this forum.
