This 1 molecule substance is supposed to be stronger than steel and has many applications
for the future. I read a science fiction about a 1 molecule wire that would cut through a
battleship without breaking. Would like to know where I can read more about this.

carbon, in some sort of lattice arrangement (stuff diamonds are made of)
i read somewhere that they could make a sort of tether all the way to the moon
well - they talked about tethering a satellite to get them near the moon - something like that   :P
