Does anyone know how the "forged cookies" are made.

The 2nd sentence does not inspire much confidence in me. :-)

So, you should put forged cookies low on the list of scary things to worry about on the internet. However, Grossman said changing your password regularly should theoretically negate any forged cookies - should they even exist.

Should I change my email from Yahoo to someone else ?

Use a browser that gives you the option of deleting all your cookies.

But wouldn't doing so require one to manually log in to every site ?

There is yet another trick, use a browser that has an "incognito" mode which means it deletes all of the cookies on exit.
