Maybe there is a setting that I have missed. When viewing the
"single-step(trace into)" screen, I can't see the bottom of the page.
In the scroll bar I can scroll down fine. Since I cannot see the
bottom of the page I cannot scroll up. Page overflows the
bottom of the screen.

This will undo changes that you have made to the various panes, but you can try "View / Panes as Default".
