Windows 7 pro 64-bit, latest Microsoft updates turned off(reason - update killed Sandboxie)
I get this virus every time I run Malwarebytes. Eset Smart Security does not catch it or Sweepy.
    hijackauto.configuration.prxysvrrst
I quarantine them but they keep showing up.
I'm starting to suspect Malwarebytes contains this virus.
I use the free version and they probably don't like that.
Eset Smart Security or Wise Disk Cleaner do not show this virus.
Thanks for any suggestions

Jack,

Does it name the file that has this false positive ?

shankle

Thanks for replying Hutch.
No - But it always happens when I run the free version of malwarebytes.
Malwarebytes is no longer on my computer and never will be again.
I have replaced it with super anti Spyware.
And I will replace this one if it starts the same nonsense.

Hi shankle,

this is normal practice, when there is a detection of some modification of the Internet settings, this can be a potentially unsafe program, or a rare program to work with the Internet. Try to use RogueKiller free and then AdwCleaner. If you downloaded the program from the official page, then there is definitely no virus, if there is no identification, it does not mean that there is no virus or this program has disappeared. You need to find out where the virus was stored, what program it belongs to and then add it to Malwarebytes exceptions.
