Which books is best to learn step by step masm for beginners to advanced level. I wonna learn assembly very well. I just don't get why ma hello world isn't working

I am using dos box. And 8086 assembler

I think that the old 16 bit DOS stuff isn't a good starting point for your goal. Download the MASM32 package; it contains a lot of examples and tutorials. The Intel and AMD manuals are helpful too (for instruction description etc.).

IMO, at least for the basics, the best MASM reference is the Microsoft MASM Programmer's Guide that came with the last commercial version, 6.1_ AFAIK, now available from multiple sources.
