There are protests and there are protests, people wo chain themselves to earth moving equipment, others who deface rare artwork or in this case, glue themselves to the floor all make the same assumption that they are important enough in terms of their physical safety to stop or hold up actions.

The folks at the Porsche showroom had the right idea, turned off the lights and heating (made the protest more carbon neutral) seemed to have had the right effect. Now with people chaining themselves to heavy machinery or parking themselves high up on a tree to prevent it from being cut down, the solution is simple, make these actions dangerous and they will stop.

Cut the tree down anyway, start up the heavy machine and turn them to meat paste, as soon as its seen as dangerous, it will stop. Who gives a PHUK about a few greenies saving the planet by leaving this mortal coil.

Its cheaper to run over the bastards. I support the right of people to make protests, to be heard and to be seen but not to disrupt an entire society by assuming that their health overrides the interests of an entire society. Flatten a few of them (by accident of course) and that form of disruption will stop. Reality trumps ideology.
